For 2010 we are working on an Electric Clutch Dyno and we also can help you with a basic dyno room. (1) STARTER RELAY UPDATE KIT-($43.87) this is for customers that have my dyno with electric start or those who are putting electric start on their dynos. It includes a wiring harness with (2) relays, a heavy duty fuse link with 30 amp fuse. We’ve found out the solenoid is not getting enough amps when we have a 25 to 30 foot of wiring to the starter. This stops those false starts were solenoid doesn’t engage or were starter seems to crank real slow at first. We also recommend using 2 gauge battery cables. ($27.99 each) This combination increases cranking speeds by 20 to 25%!
(2) DIRECT DRIVE KIT TO REPLACE ONE-WAY SPRAG & TORSION SHOCK KIT-($109.24) -we have found out the one-way sprag disengages and engages at high engine rpm. By replacing it with a solid shaft and leaving the torsion shock bushing in, we have extremely repeatable results. Five dyno pulls with only 2/100ths of a horsepower difference in some cases.
(3) 1 ¼” ROUND TO 1 3/8”-6 SPLINE ADAPTER KIT ($165.24)-This converts 1 ¼” round shaft with ¼” keyway to one-way sprag clutch and then to an adapter to adapt it to another 1 ¼” shaft. Allows you to put a one-way sprag clutch between your flywheel and your main dyno drive axle.
(4) NEW LOWER COST ECONOMY DYNO TABLE & BEARINGS (-$182.23) RECCOMENDED ONLY FOR DYNOS UNDER 30 HP.-Less expensive ISO9001 Bearings & slightly thinner/lighter legs.
(5) LOCKING SWIVEL CASTER ADD-ON OPTION ($275.00) PUTS RIDGID SWIVELS ON FLYWHEEL END AND LOCKING THAT LOCKS SWIVEL AND BRAKES WHEEL ON ENGINE END SO NO MOVEMENT WHEN ENGINE IS ACCELERATING. Allows you to take dyno in trailer with you if you want?
(6) 2009 QUARTER MIDGET CLUTCH DYNO OPTION- ESTIMATED COST $550.47-add this price to kit or complete dyno. Call for exact quote? Allows you to dyno HONDA, WORLD FORMULA, DECO CONTINETIAL, any 6 to1 gear box engines just like a standard engine- measure torque, horsepower, acceleration, air/fuel ratio, any options you order on data standard system. If doing the real small 2.5 hp (GX110?) 6 to1 gear box motors, (optional) you’ll need to buy another sprocket hub & 114 tooth sprocket and a 12 tooth driver for the clutch ($105.00).
(7) We do make an electric start, belt drive Quarter Midget Dyno (with or without one-way sprag clutch) that dynos off the end of the crankshafts of Honda 6 to 1 gear box motors. This is a “Pro” version dyno, more for the Professional engine builders. I would do a custom quote with current prices with flywheel of your choice? Extremely accurate!
(8) SLINGSHOT DYNOS?- YES, we’ve made them, just talk to me about details and I’ll quote it.
(9) Replacement Neodymium .3” O.D. Magnets, very strong, your cost $1.75. Use with JB Quik Weld Epoxy.
(10) 2008 ELECTRIC START COMPLETE KIT-($705.86)-This system used with one-way sprag clutch or with direct drive electric start dynos. We’ve made some updates/changes, installed a relay kit so solenoid and starter engage better with more amps and installed 2 gauge battery cables. These two changes make starter system crank about 20 to 25% faster. We can also wire so your OEM starter on engine cranks at same time one on dyno does? This may help some of you that break belts on the Animal motors. Crank the engine up to a highest flywheel R.P.M., before opening throttle and letting up on ignition switch. This will minimize belt breakage. Also hold brakes down when killing engine, and don’t let up till dyno flywheel rotation has stopped. Engine kick-back due to light flywheel on start up and shut down is what kills belts. The “NEW” 2008 Kevlar belt system helps tremendously, belts last several months!
(11) “NEW” ALUMINUM BELT DRIVERS- TAPERED for 2-cycles or ¾”, 1” bore with broached keyways or others with most of the common tooth combinations- call for exact Price? 30mm, 35mm, 36mm, 50 mm widths. Replace driver keys several times a year to keep from replacing driver from worn keyway! Once key starts to round they will damage belt driver!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(12) “NEW STYLE” STARTED MID-2008 35MM BELT DRIVE-($999.99)-This comes with two Kevlar belts-Customers are getting several months out of one belt with this design!-This has a larger sprocket on the main dyno axle and a larger driver with more teeth engaged on the engine. This new belt system almost totally eliminates belt breakage, even on animals. This fits 1” to 4” dyno axles. We also have a slightly smaller sprocket for customers wanting to dyno very low horsepower engines or engines with very high rpm, 10,000 & above. Call me with Questions? Replacement belts are about 40% off list price. If your doing a large quality of 2-cycle & 4-cycle engines, tell me because we do have a different combination that works with both 2 & 4 cycle but is a little more expensive. Or we can do a jackshaft that will allow multiple gear ratios and combinations. This is a little more expensive, but allows multiple combinations for 2 & 4 stroke engines with a wide range of horsepower?
(13) 2010 “NEW” High rpm or Multi-Engine ($1299.99)-Belt Drive set-up- Has a much larger sprocket on the dyno axle and can use many different belt drive sprocket on the engines, including tapered shaft for 2-cycle engine, large or small belt drivers for high or low horsepower or high torque engines. Includes two different belt drivers unless you only need one. Can have 10.18 to 1 ratio with belt drive or down to 5.89 with minimum plain bore sprockets. Other ratios are available? This also includes 2 Kevlar drive belts. Recommended for high RPM ENGINES, like 2-cycle, 4-cycle opens, engines that will turn 9500 rpm or above or were large range of hp engines are to be used on one dyno. Talk to me so I understand you needs?
(14) DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEMS-110 volt wiring in shop must be grounded! (1) We can offer a used original datamite system with premium flywheel sensor, complete wiring harness, Newest most up to date Pro software with unlock code & license, one channel analog converter (temperature) box with new 14mm head temp sensor, manual, power supply-$599.99. This will allow you to do S.A.E. weather correction manually. Or buy a USB to serial port adapter & weather modem and have it download thru USB port, ($175.00). I do have a few digital weather stations left for manual S.A.E. weather correction ($115.00) or can supply with modems ($175.00) to download to computer. (2)The New Mini-USB Basic System has been out which I did some testing on, works greats. I’ve sold several and zero problems. I sell it in a basic version with internal S.A.E. weather correction, dual temp with head and exhaust/liquid (oil temp) sensor, no engine rpm, so no clutch testing, with rare earth magnets, Pro software, new manual with newest updates, set-up and training over the phone. The above is what most customers want. Price is $1366.28. If you want something cheaper than this, call me, we can do a very basic system and then gradually add to it if that’s what you want? (3) Next step up is Mini-USB PRO, same as what is listed except comes with engine RPM sensor and inductive pick-up box and wiring harness. Price is $1633.68. (4) Next up is the USB III PRO-This includes everything that the USB MINI-PRO has except it has 4 long temp leads/channels for temperature, and 4 sensors, and more expansibility. This system can be adapted up to a total of 14 channels. The 4-cycle people can measure head temp, exhaust temp, engine oil temp, Air/Fuel Ratio all at one time on the computer screen and print out in report form and graph the data. You can also purchase a temp sensor so air temp can be measured as its going into carb. Price is $1735.65. Another option is Air/Fuel Ratio which is an optional price to, but can be measured thru this system. Remember with Pro Software, you can overlay up to six graphs at a time, click on any rpm increment and see hp & torque in 100ths of an increment. ZOOM in on any part of graph down to 30 engine rpm increments and compare up to 10 columns of data at a time in report form. Go for a wide screen LCD monitor or laptop. Add a color printer or all-in-one (move your old printer to the dyno & get an Epson Artisan 810 for the office?) You’ll love it. Don’t forget all these systems can dyno clutches! See engagement RPM, see slippage ratio, see were total lock-up of the clutch occurs, and again compare up to six clutch graphs at a time! Gotta get the horsepower to the ground! Remember, if you send me your Computer/Laptop, I’ll help you with all installation, set-up and training and answer all follow up questions. (15) TRAINING- For all you guys that didn’t buy your Dyno from me, I offer training on all aspects of the software and how to dyno engines & clutchs correctly. This includes problems with your dyno. Cost is $40.00 per hour, takes 1 ½ to 2 hours. Might be the best money you ever spent? You’ll need a debit/credit card or Paypal.
(16) 14 OZ VIPER LUBE GREASE-($12.75) For Sprag clutch and Pillow Block bearings- grease pillow block bearings at slowest time of the year. This will cause your horsepower to drop slightly (2 to 3 tenths of hp) for a short time. This is synthetic grease so it is thin in viscosity and will not affect HP as much by low room temperature.
(17) ADD-ON ONE-WAY SPRAG KIT WITH TORSION SHOCK SYTEM-$727.91- This is an option for any of the following dynos. It comes standard with a 75 hp sprag clutch. There is a 100 hp sprag that can be used as any option (add $100.00). This kit is designed for 1¼”, 1 ½” shafts. This option allows a one-way sprag clutch to be added on dynos up to 100 hp. Horsepower’s above 100 hp, we’ll use a more expensive sprag clutch if you want one. We’ll working on multi-tooth sprag clutch for much higher hp.
(18) 2009 ONE-WAY SPRAG KIT FOR 1 ¾” & 2” FLYWHEEL SHAFTS-$987.92/LIST PRICE $1338.70-This is a heavy duty sprag kit for use with flywheels axles 1 ¾” & larger. Includes the optional 100 hp sprag clutch. Used for engines above 30 hp. This does include the HEAVY DUTY torsion shock kit and it to can be updated to larger size if you want for higher hp engines? Includes custom built shafts and adapters.
(19) 2009 DUAL ELECTRIC STARTER SYSTEM- $249.99- Used with #10-Adds a second starter system for use with large flywheels when trying to use a wide range of horsepower engines on very large flywheel/flywheels.
(20) KIT DYNO USING ENGINE CLUTCH, 20 HP FLYWHEEL-$2724.47-25 or 29 hp flywheel for optional price? You do all the mig welding. I recommend a 175 amp welder with .030” wire or larger. Many of the smaller parts are ready to assemble and many are already welded. This includes a completely assembled balanced flywheel assembly with every part to make a 36” x 36” engine/clutch dyno. You supply motor mount, and computer system, clutch (Premier Titan recommended with red or yellow springs), surge protector. Wiring in shop must be grounded. I do have some used digital weather stations for manual S.A.E. weather correction. Used original data systems (included) with one channel of head temperature, cost about $599.99, which includes premium axle sensor and new 14mm head temperature sensor. Will work on Windows 95 to Windows 7. Does include newest most up to date software. You can ship me your computer for complete installation of software and set-up and testing. (21) 2009 P.A.K. ENGINE/CLUTCH DYNO-$2934.05-1”x 28” flywheel- This dyno were I weld the main frame up. Do all work on the flywheel, assemble, remove, computer balance and reinstall, install & tack weld brake bracket, tack weld motor mount rails, tack weld top flywheel cover. Tack weld control stand. You do all finish welding. I will help you with software installation & set-up. You get everything to build a complete clutch type dyno (you use a clutch on the engine to measure hp & tq.) You will need to supply a complete computer system (Windows 95 to Windows 7).
(22) 2008 BASIC CLUTCH TYPE DYNO-($3622.12)-Ready to use!-This is priced with a used data system. We can price with a new data system if you want & pay difference. This price includes a 25 hp balanced flywheel with premium NTN Ultra-class pillow block bearings along with a heavy duty sprocket hub and #53 tooth sprockets so you can dyno engines & clutches. It includes a 36” x 36” table with 1 ¼” stress-proof axle, motor mount rails, side panels and one end panel. Powder coated medium (Best Buy shelving color) silver. If you do not want powder coating-deduct $135.00. You would need to supply international (wide) motor mount with wings that’s adjustable right to left. A basic computer system with color printer. Remember, if your computer crashes, you’ll pay me an hourly wage to reinstall and set-up software, so install new hard drive if it’s over 2 years old. The recommended clutch is a Premier Titan (3/4” PTO) with yellow/red springs ($125.00). I can supply a complete computer system ($449.99 to $749.99) and install software and set-up and test. Optional 29 hp flywheel-add $57.00. Optional larger flywheels, just pay the difference. This does include a small parts kit to make sure you have everything to get started. This dyno can be updated in the future to electric start and belt drive? For applications above 30 hp, I’d recommend 1 ¾” stress-proof axle or larger (including axle bearings).
(23) 2008 ONE-WAY SPRAG CLUTCH DYNO-($4350.03) This is the same dyno as above #19 except with a standard torsion shock bushing, (2) couplers, and a one-way sprag clutch assembly with axle adapter. If you hear an engine pulling down (forgot to put oil in it) like it’s about to lock up, you can let up on throttle and motor will stop (lock up) and flywheel will coast till you hit the brake system. One-way sprag needs to be greased at least once a month. Sprag can be locked up (grade 8 or 9 bolt) so you can dyno clutches! This price will be with used original data system with head temp sensor. S.A.E. weather correction would be done manually. Again, you will have to talk to me about what data system and options you want. I always quote everything on paper and e-mail (pdf) or fax you the quote. You will need a Premier clutch with yellow/red springs, a motor mount, and a basic computer system with color printer. This does includes small parts kit to get you started. This dyno as a P.A.K. dyno ($4227.90). Call with questions? This will be made so electric start & belt drive can be added at a later date.
(24) 2010, 35 HP/ONE-WAY SPRAG CLUTCH DYNO WITH 1.75”AXLE-$5523.58 This is for 2-cycle/large 4-cycle higher hp engines were you want to use a clutch and have a one-way sprag clutch in case engine locks up. Main drive axle is 40mm so you can use standard heavy duty 40mm sprocket hubs. Includes NTN ultra class bearings, 35 hp flywheel, one-way 75 hp sprag clutch, torsion shock system. Basic used data system with head temp, “Pro” software, small parts starter kit, digital weather station. Can include computer system for optional price. Flywheel can be made larger or smaller. Data system can be updated to USB or 4 channel Pro System with internal SAE Weather correction. Can come as kit or P.A.K. (Partially assembled kit)? This is also a clutch dyno!
(25) 2009 25 H.P. FLYWHEEL WITH SPRAG, ELECTRIC START & “NEW” STYLE 35MM BELT DRIVE-($6993.39)-This is becoming the #2 seller for small engine builders! This dyno has standard a 25 hp flywheel, 2008 electric start, the new 2008+ 35mm belt drive and includes a one-way sprag clutch. This does include the New USB Basic data system. S.A.E. weather correction is done internally by computer with new style data system. It also includes a small parts kit. This dyno is more for the serious engine builder. Optional larger flywheels’ can be installed for their additional price. You will be able to dyno clutches on this dyno with add on (add $150.00, new wiring harness, inductive pick-up box). I can supply a computer system (laptop or desktop, $450.00-$750.00) for you along with a printer ($79.99 & up). You will need a surge protector (10 outlet, $39.99) and wiring in shop must be grounded. You will need to supply an international motor mount and high amperage top post battery for electric start and need a 3 to 10 amp battery charger. This is my favorite dyno; it’s simple and super accurate! You supply motor mount and battery. You can buy a laptop or desktop from me ($449.99 to $749.99) and have software installed and set-up and tested with your dyno. We can also supply super fast printer and 10 ft. USB cable, ($100.00) that way when you get it, in about two hours you’ll be dynoing motors. Or we can use your computer system. Get a basic inkjet printer, USB cable & surge protector and your set. You supply International motor mount and top post battery with 3 to 10 amp charger. Yes, it will dyno clutches!
(27) THIS IS THE #1 SELLING DYNO. 2001-2009 “PRO” SERIES DYNO-($7819.47) this dyno comes with new USB Pro data system, (4 channel analog temp). This dyno measures 27 ½” x 48” so it will fit thru a 28” door of your dyno room. It has the new electric start system and the new 2008’ Pro 35mm belt drive. It comes with a small parts kit to get you started. This dyno has two separate axles and can have a sprag clutch or can be built direct drive. Normally this is bought will a pro type data system and sold with a complete computer system with printer, surge protector, all cables, etc. We would need zip code for freight estimate. We also should talk about what you want for computer system (laptop, desktop, printer, widescreen LCD monitor, etc.)
(28) ELECTRIC CLUTCH DYNO-MADE FOR ¾” PTO SHAFT ENGINES.-WILL USE 110 VOLT 2 HP MOTOR OR 220V 5 HP MOTOR-Will have its own MCP brake system and own data system. Will dyno all clutches with #35 or #219 chain. Their may be two versions, (1) cheap basic and (1) pro version with belt drive instead of chain in one area. Will have its own flywheel. Will be fully welded and powder coated. You will need computer with windows 95 or newer.
(29) 2ND 36” MODULE-TO ADAPT TO ORIGINAL TABLE-$3121.34- This allows you to have a 34 hp flywheel in your main dyno and have another 34 HP flywheel to adapt to it so you can dyno up to about 70 hp maximum. Has a second brake system, all shafts, bearings, 2nd flywheel assembly with axle & lock collars, safety shields, covers, pivoting feet with rubber isolators, latches, mechanical adapter to engage and disengage 2nd flywheel, etc. This one is quoted with 1 ¾” shaft and bearings. This option allows you to dyno from 5 hp up to about 70 hp.
(30) CUSTOM DYNOS- We’ve built single flywheel dynos with 60 hp flywheels and 120 hp dynos with 4 flywheels ,several with electric start and some without. We built many dynos for new customers doing research & development on engines you and I haven’t even seen on the market yet (prototype engines that are being patented). We are interested in doing any type of chassis dynos (were drive wheel drives large roller, like motorcycle, car, etc), direct drive axle dynos were we dyno off of front or rear drive axle, and anything else you want to test? We are extremely interested in working with someone on much larger hp racing engines using inertia type dynamometers. Very interested in doing Harley chassis dynos. We are also working on self-loading hydraulics that will be able to load engines to pull engine rpm down for testing more accurate air/fuel ratios, or flash acceleration testing. For example measure total acceleration in your chosen rpm range, time in .001” of a second. See which changes make engine accelerate faster?
(31) 60 HP Clutch/Torque Converter type dyno with used data system and used weather station- $5163.20-2 ¼” NTN ULTRA CLASS Bearings, 2 ¼” stress-proof axle- 36” x 48” table size with some extra room, would be used with a clutch or torque converter system with a jackshaft if you want? Made so electric start, belt drive could be added at a later date or use OEM electric start if engine already has that option? Could be updated to Pro data system with automatic internal weather correction and 4 analog temp channels, (oil, head, exhaust, fuel pressure etc). We could put a loading sensing hydraulic system or electrically controlled hydraulic needle valve system to load engine for exact temps (head, oil, exhaust) and include air/fuel ratio for exact carb and/or fuel injection testing. Clutch/Torque converter not included in price. Torque converter would probably be used with jackshaft so you can control dyno flywheel maximum rpms (that’s how we done it in past?). Add optional one-way 100 hp sprag clutch with torsion shock system for $850.00 if your concerned about sticking (seizing) high dollar 2 or 4 -cycle engines?
(32) 120 HP DYNO WITH 2 FLYWHEELS- $8436.04-Clutch/torque converter type dyno or?-Allows you to dyno from about 5 hp up to about 60 hp or couple second flywheel and dyno up to about 130 hp safely, Depends on maximum rpm of engine? This dyno comes with 2” stress-proof axles and NTN Ultra Class Bearings, a simple mechanical coupler that’s allows you to engage or disengage the second flywheel. This dyno is about 6 ½ ft. in total length and will be powder coated. It will be shipped in two pieces and bolted together at your shop. Comes with used data system or can be updated to any system and you pay the difference? Pro system can have up to 17 channels. Can have two channels of analog temp for optional $100.00 on used system. Comes with used digital weather station for manual S.A.E. weather correction or we can have it download thru 2nd com port or USB port for optional price? Price does not include Clutch/Torque converter since so many applications? Will be powder coated normal Best Buy Medium Silver (their shelving color) unless you want some standard color?
(33) 150 HP DYNO WITH 3 FLYWHEELS-$10,600.00-Clutch/Torque converter type dyno or?-Allows you to dyno small engines starting at about 5 hp up to engine with maybe 165/175 hp. Depends slightly on maximum rpm of your engine? Comes standard with basic used data system and digital weather station for manual S.A.E weather correction or update too many different new systems and pay the difference. Systems up to 30 channels possible? Optional dual electric start (two starters) and high rpm belt drive higher recommended (allows many different belt drive ratios). Price does not include Clutch/Torque Converter system? Again using low cost simple mechanical couplers to disengage or engage as many flywheels as you need for your applications. Then change the flywheel settings in software and Dyno the engine, very simple. We could do this type of dyno up to several hundred HP or over a thousand hp with no problem. The dyno tends to get long can be the only problem, basically depends on you step or size of flywheel you chose to work with? I have 4 of these in the United States. You might also consider adding a large hydraulic loading system to load engines for air/fuel ratio (carb/fuel injection work).
